FTE Drilling Achieves ECOLOGO® Certification

FTE Drilling is proud to announce that it has achieved ECOLOGO® certification under the ULC TS 2723:2024 standard, a recognition that highlights our commitment to responsible development, environmental stewardship, health and safety, and the continuous improvement of our mining exploration drilling practices.

This certification represents the culmination of a journey that began in 2023 and reflects the efforts made by our teams to integrate sustainable development principles into every aspect of our operations.

A Commitment to Responsible Drilling

In the mining drilling industry, environmental, social, and operational considerations have become increasingly important. Recognizing this reality, FTE Drilling launched an initiative to further strengthen its responsible business practices and reinforce its commitment to sustainable operations. The ECOLOGO® certification recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in environmental performance, operational management, health and safety, and social responsibility.

A Journey That Began in 2023

The project was launched with a clear objective: to formally recognize the efforts already underway within the organization while continuing to improve our processes and practices. Throughout the certification process, FTE Drilling benefited from the support and guidance of the Québec Mineral Exploration Association (AEMQ), whose resources and expertise helped advance our certification journey. Over several years, our teams worked diligently to document procedures, strengthen monitoring systems, and demonstrate compliance with the program’s requirements across our operations.

A Successful Field Audit in British Columbia

A major milestone was reached in July 2026 when FTE Drilling completed its field audit during a mining exploration project in British Columbia in partnership. This audit provided an opportunity to demonstrate the practical application of ECOLOGO® requirements in a real operating environment and validate the environmental and operational best practices implemented throughout the organization. The certification process was conducted by UL Solutions, the independent organization responsible for evaluating compliance with ECOLOGO® standards.

Turning Requirements Into Action

One of the most significant aspects of this journey was the implementation of practical initiatives designed to support more responsible drilling operations. Among these efforts was the evaluation and adoption of products with improved environmental profiles, while ensuring they remained effective, safe, and compatible with operational requirements in the field. This work required close collaboration between our HSE team, operational personnel, purchasing department, and leadership team to identify solutions that balance environmental objectives with field realities.

A Collective Achievement

This certification is the result of a company-wide effort. It reflects the dedication of our employees, supervisors, field teams, purchasing department, HSE professionals, and leadership team, who all played a key role in the success of this initiative. We would also like to acknowledge the collaboration and support of our partnership contributed to the successful completion of the field audit. Every individual involved helped transform the program's requirements into concrete practices that strengthen our operations every day.
