President-CEO of FTE Drilling since July 2015, Yanic Bernier is a chartered accountant as well as a member of l’Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec since 1994. He completed his bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, as well as a certificate in professional accounting. His past experience within two large businesses in Québec, have allowed him to develop a keen eye for business. Since his arrival at FTE Drilling in 2004 as vice-president, Mr. Bernier demonstrates a professional expertise and a deep knowledge of the drilling industry that contributes to the company’s world-class reputation.
Yanic Bernier is also involved in professional organisations. Since 2002, he is the administrator and treasurer of the Comité de promotion industrielle de Sherbrooke (CPIS). He has also occupied the role of president during 4 years at Association des entrepreneurs en forage du Québec, where he is today the vice-president.
FTE Drilling shareholder since 1998, Philippe Gingras first held a position as CEO at the Brewster Well Drilling subsidiary until July 2015. Now vice-president of FTE Drilling, he brings to the company his rich experience in the business sector. His business training, combined with a concentration in international trade, gives him remarkable skills in managing production and business development.
With almost 35 years of experience in the drilling industry, Gilles Lapointe worked as a driller for the F.Lapointe et Fils inc. division since 1982. He then moved on to being director of operations at FTE Drilling in 1997. Mr. Lapointe excels in all aspects of a project’s development. His functions allow him to be involved in management and project control planning both in Canada and internationally while still remaining close to site follow ups.
In charge of business affairs in Africa, Bernard Boulet demonstrates great management abilities. After gaining almost 40 years of experience in the drilling industry, he coordinates, plans, and procures projects on African soil. With his vision to strengthen the company’s presence in West Africa, Mr. Boulet’s main focus is on high quality work, the respect of the environment, and giving back to communities.
With over 40 years of experience in the drilling industry, André Lapointe started his career in the F. Lapointe et Fils division in 1975. He then climbed the ladder to become president of F. Lapointe et Fils inc. In 1995. After 15 years as president, Mr. Lapointe became, in 2016, director of supply and capital asset purchases at FTE Drilling. Experienced and attentive to detail, he manages, with high efficiency, the garage personnel, the purchase of parts, and supply negotiations.
Having a rich experience as an international driller, Pierre-Yves Blais joined FTE Drilling in 1988 as president. Since 2015, he plays an active role in the coordination of different activities within the company as strategic guidance director. He focuses primarily on commercial development, as well as business relations. He also ensures the conception and evaluation of international projects. Alert and passionate, Mr. Blais knows how to coordinate both drilling operations and commercial activities for FTE Drilling on an international front.
Employed by FTE Drilling since 1997, Félicité Abjibogou first started as an accountant, then became director of operations in 2006. Today, as CEO for the Togo region, she supervises technical management while being in control of sites for various projects run by the company. Ms. Abjibogou sets herself apart thanks to her deep knowledge of FTE Drilling and the Togolese territory.
Holding a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an accounting concentration, Marc Morin has also completed a certificate in professional accounting. He joined FTE Drilling in 2010 after working for 15 years as a controller and manager for a company in Quebec specialized in industrial products. Since 2014, Mr. Morin acts as administrative manager in West Africa for FTE Drilling. His great management abilities make him versatile, attainable, and an unmatched team player.
Holding a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting and a certificate in professional accounting since 1994, Josée Parenteau is a member of l’Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec as well as the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Between 1995 and 2012, she occupied several management positions within businesses in Québec and then joined FTE Drilling in 2012. As chief of financial management, Ms. Parenteau is in charge of the accounting, consolidation and finance departments at FTE Drilling. She also coordinates financial and fiscal matters between Canada, Africa, and South America. Ms. Parenteau also plays an important role in the management of human resources and coordination of IT activities.
Thanks to his training in civil engineering, Kyle Fetterly specializes in caissons, micropiles, rock anchorage, piles, water wells, geothermal, and mining exploration. He has been working at FTE Drilling since 2009 as professional technologist. Being a licenced driller and pump installer in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and Ontario, Kyle Fetterly ensures the quality of the drilling jobs on the sites he takes part in.
With over 22 years of experience as chief mechanic, foreman, and department head, Claude Dejardin specializes in mechanical support at FTE Drilling. His degree in heavy machinery mechanics with a specialization in electronic injection make him a renowned specialist in several countries within West Africa. Mr. Dejardin can diagnose, analyse, and solve any problem related to mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic issues.
